Looking to take my son for a cupcake tomorrow. Do you all have any recommendations for a GF cupcake?
Alicia A. replied:
JP's Pastry . We bought directly from them - as well as at Groovy Duck Bakery - in Raleigh. Chapel Hill they sell them at Southern Season - but not sure what is available at the stores - I'd call ahead..

Thanks for the shout outs everyone! This is JP of JP's Pastry. We dropped off a variety of cupcakes this evening at Groovy Duck Bakery llc. Tomorrow we will have Vegan GF cupcakes delivered to Sassool. And we will be participating in Southern Season's Coffee Extravaganza week (next week) and will be sampling our Espresso Pound Cake and Caramel Latte Cupcakes On April 25 mid-day.

Foodies Fixin Finders on fuquay varina exit (42) in peddlers village usually has Ada's cupcakes. They also have ice cream sandwiches that my kids LOVE (and tons of other goodies)

Daisy Cakes in downtown Durham makes GF cookies, cupcakes, etc. on a daily basis.

Mattie Ortiz Skidmorejpspastry.com. You can order from our website (and we deliver) or we wholesale to Café de los Muertos, Neomonde Bakery and Deli, Sassool, Groovy Duck Bakery llc, Southern Season. We are dedicated gluten free kitchen.
Ryan E. replied:
It's not a cupcake but Red Robin in Apex has a great gluten-free menu and a dedicated fyer.
Jessi A. replied:
If you are looking for good pastries in shops from dedicated GF I only know of the ones that JP sells. Those are at Sassool in N. Raleigh, Neomonde, and like Ryan said Southern Season. There's also GF desserts at Patrick Janes in Cary and some very tasty pizza! But like Cary said, I've got Celiac's and never had a reaction at SugarBuzz. Edit: Oh JP also sells some things at Cafe de los Muertos but I don't think there's always a guarantee that something will be there. And I've never seen cupcakes there.
