So after putting off registering with a dentist I have now developed toothache :-( can anyone recommend anywhere? NHS preferably, not rolling in money at present!
Samantha W. replied:
This happened to me! Then most of the dentists told me they were full so phone the dentist in sandy market square they took me on straight away and are great! 01767 681100
Nikki S. replied:
Steven Woodward if it's really painful you can get something from the chemist to help until you see a dentist (just thinking it's Saturday today) it's called orajel and it numbs the pain. Nothing worse than tooth ache. I use st Andrews, they are ok in my opinion, but I always worry dentists are giving me wrong treatment and ripping me off. I used Sandy dentists years ago and I don't reccommend them, they did work on my mouth they shouldn't have & the same to my sister (as advised by another dentist) but if needs must and you can't get in in Biggs you will have to try I guess.

http://victoriaplacedental.com/About.html This place has the price list on to give you an idea of what you might have to spend if you go private.
Jason W. replied:
I use St Andrews Steven they are very good but I'm not sure whether or not they have any NHS spaces might be worth going private with them whilst waiting for one. In the meantime consider the Dental Care Centre at the old north wing site Bedford for em ergency NHS treatment. Although it might be quicker and more convenient going for emergency private treatment locally in the first instance. Hope you get it sorted. http://www.nhs.uk/.../dentists/Overview/DefaultView.aspx...

I attend Sandy Dental Care on the NHS and Mrs J uses St Andrews Dentists on NHS in the High St. We both have positive exoeriences, but, I guess it just depends who are taking on NHS patients at any point in time.
Ellen K. replied:
We couldn't get into any nhs dentists in Biggleswade, so are registered at http://www.sandydentalcare.co.uk/ in Sandy. I know other people have had to go to Shefford to get an Nhs place. Good luck!

Welcome to Biggleswade! I'm new too and I was highly recommended deepdale vets, I have had to take my cat in alot since I've been here and they have been fantastic. I've signed up at st Andrews dental surgery and had a filling so far and i would rate them too. I hope you enjoy it here! X
Sarah G. replied:
We also use St Andrews dental practice, they are in town, and Ivel Medical Centre in Chestnut Ave, but other Dr's practice good too. That's the Health Centre on Saffron Rd. Best to choose whichever is closer to you. X

Elizabeth Smiths for vets, the only one with emergency vet onsite after hours, without travelling to far in an emergency. Both my dogs go and they've been great after a bad experience.

Oh no. If you can take Paramol it's paracetamol and codeine and it's great for tooth ache as is Orajel which you can numb the tooth with. Both from Boots or Lloyds Pharmacy in Biggleswade. The Cambridge Dental Clinic in Chesterton Rd Cambridge accepts NHS patients off the street.

Hi. I've just moved into the area, this has probably been asked before but what gp surgery/ dentist would you recommend to register at? Thanks
Amy P. replied:
There are two doctors in Biggleswade one by aldi Biggleswade health centre and one by the library ivel medical centre both have mixed reviews on here normally ivel is easier to park as public car park opposite three hour limit free. Dentists seem to be few and far between if you want NHS I ended up in Baldock as none in Biggleswade were taking on but can search online on mydentist and will give closest NHS that's got spaces
Sandy dental care take new NHS patients on the first of each month but you have to be there when they open at 8 am
