But whomever you use, I think the daycare/training combo is the best. It keeps them in a disciplined environment for long enough for training to sink in.

I’ll PM you the contact info of the trainer we currently are using, Palmer Wilkes. He was referred to us by a friend in the TwoByTwo Animal Rescue out of Helena and is very well acquainted with the needs and issues of rescue dogs.

I used creative dog training in Homewood. It's about $700 for the one-week bootcamp, which is just what a pup needs. That sounds pricey, but they also fully brief you on the training methods and everything. Then after that they have a REALLY GOOD deal for people who've used the 1-week bootcamp. You can bring your dog in for a full day of daycare and training, once a week, for 6 months, for $300. That works out to about $12/day. I've actually run out of things to train my dog in so had to get creative to use the rest of my training days.
