I think you should always have a private rics, even if you have it 5 times but only complete 1 it is a cost of acquisition. I would usually recommend colleys but if you want someone fast and cheap a private firm from http://www.rics.org/uk/find-a-member/?sd=y&cc=GB&fn&ln&ct=birmingham may be more accomodating
