Rick Fuechslin conducts quality inspections. His contracts includes a warranty that the inspection company will pay for any repairs that they missed during the home inspection. That provided me extra assurance that a quality inspection was being done. 813-455-3431. www.easttampa.abuyerschoice.com

Don Brasher Home Inspection, LLC. 205.545.4342 I was AMAZED at the report he did for us on the home we were looking at buying.
Rene P. replied:
http://www.ghaonline.com/ Andrew is a family friend and he is also certified in everything and sits/sat on the Alabama Home inspections board at one time. He saved me from a home before that would of costed us thousands.

This is the guy we used. http://www.ashi.org/homeinspectors/Alabama/Calera/17016FG.aspx

Gary Trammell, Home Safe Inspections, 205.279.9995gtrammell.homesafe@gmail.com Used Gary for my inspection last year, he was recommended by my realtor. He was super nice, reasonably priced, and he uses a thermal camera to look for things like faulty wiring, water leaks, and critters behind the walls. He also checks for faulty sealing and insulation using the camera. After the inspection he'll send you a full set of the photos he takes, on my 2500 sq ft house he photoed every window, wall, and door way. I was highly impressed.
Brandi W. replied:
We just used Bill Gandy. He's in Alabaster and just inspected the house we're selling and the house we're buying. Good guy. I can get his number. Pretty reasonable rate too.
Kai S. replied:
Rescue Me Home Inspections. Done by off duty Fire Fighters. They inspect a lot of homes in the Shelby county area. They are cheaper than most and you get your report within 24 hours. The number is 205-467-4064. Hope that helps.
Andrew Griffith is the best 410-5073. Get him if possible. He's usually pretty booked. We used his son for our last house and he missed a thing or two that Andrew wouldn't have missed. Real Estate agents call him "The Deal Killer" so be prepared.

You could spread a rumor around the local high schools that it's haunted. Teenagers will storm that place and inspect the shit out of it. You catch them when they leave the house and threaten to call the cops unless they tell you about the house's build.
Letchworth replied:
Uh oh are you preparing a letter to the landlord?
Cardnil replied:
Daniel Hollis is amazing too. Used him for two homes this summer. 205-283-9642. He's about $450, but he'll save you thousands.

Zack Ervin at SmartMove was so great when we had our inspection performed. He has a degree in biology or chemistry or something totally random, but started flipping houses at 18 and realized how totally fucked up the home inspection market is and wanted to be a part of fixing it. He answered every single question I had, including ones that didn't even pertain to fixing the house and instead things like ladder recommendations and how to properly insulate the attic to get additional tax breaks. He was extremely thorough and really nice. Can't recommend him enough: http://www.smartmoveinspection.com/our-team-.html

I thought I commented here. Andrew Griffith (Griffith Home something or other GHA perhaps) is not a good home inspector. Spent 30 minutes at my house. Did the bare minimum. $550. Told me not to fix things verbally and then put something different in the written report. I asked him about it and he said to ignore his report.:/ I've had other home inspectors, so I know what good ones do, but it was when I lived in another area.
