Looking for a great local yoga class.. any suggestions???

Hi! Im a local yoga instructor! Is there any specific type of yoga you are looking for? I teach at and highly recommend Younique Yoga in Cedar Grove. We teach Hot Vinyasa there. I've been to most of the studios in the area though and can definitely recommend others depending on what you are looking for. I also started my own company https://www.facebook.com/170113416728183 Iris Mind+Body. we specialize in fun, pop-up yoga classes in the area as well as parties and privates!

The Monday evening class at Oakeside Manor might be a good place to start. The instructor is really great with beginners. Info can be found on Oakeside's programs page: http://oakeside.org/programs/
Thoughts on Yoga classes in the area? I've never taken a class, so looking for an Intro or (very) Beginner.

Garden State has great beginner classes, but its a hot studio, so you have that to consider. I do highly recommend Yoga Montclair too, it's around the corner from Eagans.
Anne B. replied:
Yoga Montclair is wonderful. They have a great beginners class and all of the instructors are very patient.

Looking to start Yoga. Can anyone recommend a a yoga studio in the area that has classes for beginners? TIA
Adela I. replied:
Jersey Fitness on Broad has a beginners class on sat at 9 am. Otherwise, Bloomfield rec and the mansion on belleville ave has it. If you really enjoy it, montclair Y has classes and jaipure in montclair is excellent.
Tracy T. replied:
As a yogi… I do not recommend the classes at the Y. As for beginners classes at Powerflow, they do not turn the heat on. Ali teaches her classes warm. I have been going there for years and love it. Also try JaiPure Yoga for a variety of classes. A lot of the teachers work at the same studios (some also teach at Yoga Montclair). I love Yoga Montclair, but they have limited classes and hours. Good luck on your yogic journey!

I had found Power Flow Yoga in my search and was worried about the hot yoga aspect of it, just getting back into the practice I thought it might be too intense but was keeping it in mind for the future. I'll definitely look into Yoga Montclair, thanks for the recommendation!
