That's the Rub Massage Therapy Center (www.thatstherub.com and www.facebook.com/thatstherub/) is hands-down the most outstanding massage in town. For Chiro I'm a fan of Karen Drummond. For acupuncture there's an EXCELLENT place on Landmark that just opened...but whose name I am forgetting.

East West Acupuncture on Landmark, Or Leah Craig at Thrive is awesome as well!

I go to Bright Chiro for chiro and massage. They also offer accupuncture. I go East West Accupuncture.

Bloomington sports and wellness: Brian Murer offers Chiropractic and Acupuncture and they have a wonderful in house massage therapist his name is Michael, but i'm blanking on his last name.

Osmon Chiropractic does all there, I've received all 3 treatments thee and have been very satisfied.

I second Tim Donovan. He was actually my supervisor for a bit when I was recently in grad school and so I've seen him at work. Very excellent therapist and well-liked in the community. I had a wonderful therapist at the IU health center, but I'm in the same boat--no longer a student, can't go to the health center. :( I'm trying out Centerstone. Don't be afraid to therapist-hop for a little while until you find a good match--therapy is useless if you can't actually talk about stuff openly (I think I'm on my 7 th or 8 th therapist by now).

The [Center for Human Growth](http://education.indiana.edu/Default.aspx?alias=education.indiana.edu/centgrow) at IU offers great fees (down to free) free parking passes, and a great staff. The therapists are students, but the center works with you to find someone that is the best fit for you. Highly recommend.

Heather Maritano at Inner Resources Counseling is amazing. They have a Facebook page. Located under Goods for Cooks on the square.

Deb Pardue specializes in working with the LGBTQ+ community. Idk about her experience with DID though, or whether she takes Medicaid. But it's worth asking her!

If you're an IU student the LGBT cultural center does free counseling. I even got my HRT letter from there

I'll always recommend Spencer Psychology! I've had great experiences with Jenny Spencer.

Try Butcher, Cooper, Day. They have lots of LGBTQ clients. They do sliding scale care. Not sure if they also take Medicaid though. They’re in the Fountain Square Mall.

Dr. Margaret Squires was fantastic for me, but that was just for anxiety and depression. You could try calling her and see what she would recommend / who the best people are.

How much do you pay after insurance? I used to see a counselor for depression and anxiety, I highly recommend her, Christine Uben- Uben counseling. But she doesn't do insurance, however she is great at figuring out a rate you can afford (I think I did $40, says she can go to $25) Hope that's useful! Good luck with everything, you're not alone!

I've been on a search for a therapist over the past few weeks to address some anxiety issues myself. It has proven to be more difficult then I ever expected it to be. Decided I really needed some help on a crisis day with no idea where to even begin. Finally got an appointment 2 weeks out which was cancelled the day of the appointment. Rescheduled for four days latter. Arrive for rescheduled appointment to be informed that the therapist they had assigned me didn't accept a nuance of the type of insurance I had but I could reschedule with one of the other therapists some days later that would. I know the clinic is a business, and they have rent and people to pay, but felt like they should answer the phone with" Hello, associated clinic, where's the money coming from". I guess they just get inured to dealing with people in pain. I got more warmth and concern from my insurance company person who explained my benefits to me then the place that was supposed to help me. To the OP all I can say is I hope someone in this Reddit community can give you (and me) some good advice. So far its felt like finding good help is like picking a duck at the carnival.

Check out the Center for Brief therapy. Sarah Roberts Hoos. She's on Lima out north, but she's been great.

The process is a pain in the ass but centerstone is where I go to see my psychiatrist. I really like her, she has really helped me out! I think everyone has to do an intake appointment first, and it’s first come first serve, so you should get there early morning if possible. Like I said, it is a pain but it was definitely worth it for me!

A general physician can also do this, just FYI. Edit: If you can't find a psychiatrist easily/soon.

I know someone who's been seeing Dr. Polly Lybrook for years, and they think she's great.

I've heard there can be difficulties getting in to see psychiatrists around here, so just FYI, I believe IU Health Behavioral Health has psychiatric nurse practitioners who can diagnose mental health issues and prescribe medications, too.

I've been unsuccessful finding care in Bloomington, but Serenity Now in Bedford could be worth trying if you have transportation.

If you find someone, let me know. I've been on the hunt for a local psychiatrist for about 8-9 months now. Most tell me they aren't accepting new patients and then recommend a doctor up in Terre Haute (fuck that).

There's a free CBT clinic at the School of Psychology. If they determine that CBT isn't right for you, they help you find a therapist.

As a student I adored Paul Toth at CAPS in the IU Health Center, and later I adored Cindy Houston at Centerstone. They have different approaches, but I needed different approaches during different times in my life. I saw both to manage major depression. Paul when it first started as a student at IU, and Cindy a couple/few years later. I haven't checked to see if they are both still practicing at those respective clinics/in those same departments.
