We just had a large red oak taken down and its stump and the stump of a large white pine ground up. Gibson Tree Removal (706-835-5200) did the work. They were prompt (within three days of calling) and efficient (1/2 day for the work for me). He has the equipment and the personnel necessary. If you call, don't expect an answer--he told me almost invariably people call him when he is on the other end of a chainsaw. Leave a message and he will get back to you.

Taz's Tree Service in Young Harris. They recently did some work for us and did an excellent job. We had a hard time finding someone to answer our calls or show up. I'm thinking this is so rude, but from talking with Taz, I realized that most tree services are just overwhelmed. If anyone wanted to start a business, I would think this would be the direction to go in. Plenty of business!

I saw this post and wanted to tell say, My husband has his own business of tree work "Mountaineer Outdoors Services"and he is licensed and insured and has great recommendations from business people in this area. He does not chop trees down for free especially if they are by houses but he does however do it for amazingly good deals. And cuts wonderful views Robin Davis Fry !
