Personally I would feel comfortable with any one of those shops. Chris just happens to be closest to me and went through the same school as me, and I like to support service members when possible.

Thanks for all the information guys, everything helps. I'll let me uncle know all those names you just told me. This north central Subaru services has been making remanufactured long blocks for Subaru dealerships themselves in New England. He sends the engine to a shop to install the rest (turbo, radiator intake exhaust etc) his website has a list of preferred installers and motive auto works is right on there. I think this guy could be my go to, has good warranty too.

I grew up there! But all the restaurants are different now. Great breakfast place right at the Newton Center T stop building (don't know the name). Great pizza around the corner called Sweet Tomatoes.
