Eugenia Corbo have you been to the WH in Lynnfield! OMG there is nothing else to compare it to. The most amazing place - pricey but amazing in every department.

Trader Joes sell organic milk by the gallon and it is $6.00 + change. There is one on Boylston street and also on Rt 1A.

1. In order to make sure the money we spend stays within our city/region and helps our city's/region's economy 2. In order to encourage good treatment of employees 3. In order to have a say in how business is conducted 4. In order to eat healthy 5. In order to save money We must shop in co-operatives like Harvest which excel in local and organic food. On member-appreciation days you get a 10% discount. Harvest has three stores, 2 in Jamaica Plain and 1 in Central square. We should probably start a co-op in Eastie :) By the way, this being Summer, shopping at the Farmer's market makes the most sense. But of course, for things we don't get there, we have to rely on super-markets. CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is another option. I have seen CSA boxes at the Eastie Y. http://www.harvestcoop.com/membership/benefits/

I don't know if they have any Organic milk, but my shopping is always done at Price Rite in Revere. Can't beat the prices, especially at the Deli. Shaws to me in East Boston is nothing but a rip off.
Dying to cook a proper Sunday roast this weekend but can't find a pork roasting joint with crackling in my local supermarket.
Any suggestions?

Try Whole Foods - they often have either shoulders or legs with skin on. I also buy loin with skin-on from Berkshire Pork (http://www.heritagepork.com) Expensive but terrific! (Nine pound joints on the bone)
