Does anyone know the rule of service dogs in grocery stores? Are they supposed to wear vests that say "service dog"? Is it ok to feed them free deli meat at the deli?...
Should have everything you need to know. http://www.mass.gov/ago/consumer-resources/your-rights/civil-rights/disability-rights/information-about-service-animals.html

My husband has a service dog and the training they both have gone through has been an incredibly long process. Chance is the most well behaved dog you'll ever meet. Service dogs are working dogs and life changes. https://www.operationdeltadog.org
Has it occurred to anyone that having dogs in GROCERY STORES is a sanitary concern?? Dog hair, dog feces/urine, fleas, etc. does not mix well with food. A TRUE service dog, I'd allow. An emotional support dog? No way. If you can't be without your emotional support buddy for half hour doing groceries... maybe you shouldn't be out in public at all. Service dogs are a whole different story... They are for handicap people who rely on these dogs to literally save their lives or keep them safe from a tragic accident (seizures, restricted movements, blindness, recurring strokes, etc) I am not saying that emotional pets do not serve an important purpose for people with depression, anxiety and other mental/emotional ailments, but there are places where dogs should only be allowed under strict rules, for hygiene and sanitary reasons.

Tavern In the square, eviva, burtons, carrabas, Red Robin for restaurants. Also Dream Diner in Tyngsboro for breakfast. Chelmsford Diner too but slow service. For stores I go to three different supermarkets weekly to get what I need plus occasional trips to Aldi, Whole Foods and Wegmans. They all carry different things so it depends on what you like/need.

There are many websites like www.lowsodiumcooking.com. The most well-known cookbook is the low-salt cookbook by the American Heart Association. Caution: even low salt luncheon meat is bad for your heart. The ones made with no nitrates/nitrites are better but they often have loads of sodium as a preservative. Whole Foods’ deli roasts their own turkey breast but I’ve never asked about salt content. Also- be cautious as many low sodium canned goods just replace sodium chloride with potassium chloride.
