Any recommendations for a good thyroid specialist/endocrinologist for dealing with hypothyroidism?
Ari K. replied:
Dr. Kellyn Milani at Trillium Integrative Medicine is great and has helped me a ton. Her office number is 406-219-0049. www.trilliumclinic.net

If you want an endocrinologist, rather than a naturopath, you have to go to Helena, Billings, or further. There aren't any in Bozeman. I'd recommend Dr. Sorli or Dr. Mack at Billings Clinic.
Need suggestions for a great female Endocrinologist who understands and treats thyroid issues.
Kirsten R. replied:
Dr. Sorili in Billings is great. Not female but knowledgable, kind, and full of in depth expertise.
Ari K. replied:
Dr. Kellyn Milani is not an endocrinologist, but amazing with thyroid issues. I have changed my care from my endocrinologist to her alone at this point. www.trilliumclinic.net
Heather B. replied:
I also recommend Dr Sorli in Billings. Is a man but knows what he is doing.
Regan A. replied:
There aren't any endocrinologists in the Bozeman area. I see Dr. Sorli in Billings, and have also seen Dr. Mack at the same clinic. Neither are female, but I'd recommend both without any reservations.
Can anyone give me any feedback on Dr Rose the endocrinologist at Bozeman Health? Specifically on thyroid issues. Does he look at the whole thyroid panel or just TSH? I...
Elizabeth W. replied:
I had a very negative experience with Dr. Rose. He does not communicate clearly with the patient and is condescending and dismissive of questions or concerns. Thankfully he referred me back to my GP for checkups.

The https://www.facebook.com/165870176896866 Thyroid Pharmacist, Dr. Izabella Wentz - check her out!
Amy K. replied:
I would recommend Dr Green as well!
Anne K. replied:
I saw him last year for thyroid issues and he was great and very helpful. I’ve seen Dr Mack in billings too and LOVE him but his wait list is like 6 months
Tammy A. replied:
Dr Rose is the best and yes looks at all different things, not just TSH. Please try him and you decide. But I'm a difficult patient & he has been with me all the way. Very positive and knowledgeable. But very quiet.
Kathleen J. replied:
I also have had a great experience with ND Jeff Green in Belgrade. Getting a second opinion is wise of course but the opinion from an endocrinologist is very different than from an ND Totally two different types of medicine
Does anyone have any recommendations of doctors that deal with blood sugar issues that is not the one endocrinologist in town affiliated with the hospital? I did not...
Tammy A. replied:
I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience with them. Dr. Rose it a fantastic Dr. If he did something you didn't like, please call & talk to him & his nurse Tammy.
Linda A. replied:
Spring Integrative Heath has 3 Naturopaths and they are all wonderful. If you decide to I quite ask which one works more with your particular issue.
Promise S. replied:
I am not a doctor but I am a type one diabetic. I'd recommend checking out Dr. Bernstein's books. My a1 c is 5.3% without the help of my endo.
Elizabeth W. replied:
I'd like to know, too! I also didn't have a good experience with Dr. Rose, and the endocrinologist I was seeing in Billings before that moved. So I'm at a loss for how to help you, but you're not alone!
Ramona M. replied:
I have been with my dad to Sebastian White at the diabetes center and was incredibly impressed with their team. Everyone is kind, compassionate, nonjudgmental.

Nicole Z. replied:
David Johnson MD Billings. He knows his stuff.
Heather A. replied:
Dr. Rose at Bozeman Health he is new, and very nice! Not completely sure about the Hashimoto's though.
Best Endocrinologist in Bozeman specializing in post partum hormone balance.
Kathyna B. replied:
Pretty sure the only Endo we have in town is Dr. Rose, and he's really good! But I would also recommend Dr. Green in Belgrade, he is a Natropath but is amazing and has helped me tremendously
Elizabeth W. replied:
Dr. Rose is the only endocrinologist in Bozeman. I had been seeing an endocrinologist in Billings for hormone imbalance and switched to Dr. Rose when he started here. I did not have a good experience with him. He seemed irritated that I did not have diabetes and simply referred me back to my GP. It might be worth looking in Billings for an endocrinologist who is not as specialized in diabetes treatment as Dr. Rose seems to be. Unfortunately, the dr. I was seeing in Billings has moved, so I don't have any suggestions for you. Good luck! A naturopath might be a good idea, as suggest above.
