I love Carolina Smiles. They are friendly, clean, compassionate and well trained. Their staff has caught several potential issues for me BEFORE I lost the tooth to a crown. Dr. Matt is my dentist and he does good work. Dr. Cowart was my dentist before him and in 35 years being a patient of the practice I have only lost one filling and that was my fault. Give them a try.

Water Oak Dental I love working there! I had a near death experience when my son was born and he spent two months in intensive care. The doctors were wonderful to me. They very easily could've seen things from a business perspective but they treated me like family. To me that says a lot. I'm leaving Water Oaks after having been there for a number of years due to their unavailability on a Friday afternoon when my crowned front tooth crumbled. Carolina Smiles not only got me in immediately on a Friday afternoon at 3:30 pm, they had me back home with a temporary that looked better than the original by 5:30 pm. Water Oaks didn't return my call until Monday morning at 9:06 am. I didn't hear from my dentist, but (I'm guessing) a receptionist that picked up my message from 3 pm the Friday before. I'm also under the impression that my dentist, Dr. Root, never actually received my frantic message. Her return call was perfunctory, emotionless, and brief. Carolina Smiles not only saw me on a late Friday afternoon, but they've someone on call 24/7. That means a lot to families with children playing weekend sports! As much as I LIKED the folks at Water Oaks, take a guess who's going to get all of my family's business...along with friends?

Just had Dr Gunnel do quite a bit of work on my teeth. He's really good and I'd recommend him and his staff anytime. I have also had work done at Water Oak, and was not disappointed either. So if you go with either of those, you should be satisfied.
