Another thing, here is the page where you can see who is LEGALLY boarding dogs. If a place is not on the list, they are not legally allowed to board dogs. There are PLENTY of licensed kennels in our area. By the way, Robin Huckeba IS also licensed, her place can be seen on there under her business name, Robin's Nest, thought I would mention that so people know, since she was listed on this thread by her name only. And yes, she is great. She offers a different experience than we do, but she rocks. Some others that get listed on this page, frequently, are operating illegally. Here is where to check, just select your county of interest: http://www.ncagr.gov/vet/aws/inspections/

Melissa Gibson, check out my website at springvalleyfarmdogcare.com and if you are interested, email me at svfdogs@gmail.com and we can set up a Meet and Greet with you and your dog. If you are interested, don't delay, we are often full on weekends April through September, so you would want to go ahead and book it if you like us after we do a Meet and Greet. We provide in home boarding, and we are licensed by the state (which is required for boarding dogs in home or in a kennel). We have been doing what we do for almost 9 years, and we have the best of the best dogs stay here :) We are not a kennel, but we are required to have the dogs in an "enclosure" while they are not supervised. Doggie guests sleep in comfortable crates of appropriate size. www.ncpawsinmotion.com

We used Red Barn across from BRCC in Flat Rock for our large dog. They have large fenced in areas where they allow the dogs to run (one at a time) as well as indoor/outdoor kennels. Our dog always got excited about being there. He loved the owners, who stay on sight. We used them for several years and would not hesitate to go so again. Unfortunately our fur baby passed several years ago due to old age.

Hi Erica Kelly! If your dog is reliably friendly to other dogs and people, please feel free to contact me at svfdogs@gmail.com to see if we can take care of him or her at Spring Valley Farm Dog Care. I live there, and I also have 4 employees that help me take care of all of the dogs. We have a huge fenced grassy play field for them to run and play in, and a creek, too, for the ones who like water. You can check out our facebook page, or our website at springvalleyfarmdogcare.com to see more about the care that we provide. Good luck! Please note that all boarding places must be licensed in our State in order to be operating a legal business. You can find out what places, besides us, are legal by checking out the NC Dept of Agriculture's website at http://www.ncagr.gov/vet/aws/Inspections/index.htm and here is a link to our Facebook page where you can see pictures and videos of the dogs having fun: https://www.facebook.com/SpringValleyFarmDogCare/?ref=bookmarks If your dog doesn't always get along so well with other dogs, or plays really roughly, there are some other boarding places that offer private let-outs, or walk dogs on leashes instead of doing "open group play" like we do, and they can probably take care of your dog. We do a Meet and Greet ahead of the first stay, and generally at least one Trial Stay, to see if your dog likes it here and is a good fit for us. Unfortunately not every dog is a good, safe fit for "open play", which just means they might do better elsewhere.
