Bit of a random request but can anyone recommend any decent belt brands/ materials?
My life is a constant struggle to get a non leather belt that is equal parts smart...

https://www.thread.com has worked for me, I've got a couple of belts from them. Annoying because it's not possible to filter animal products, so you have to wade through a bit, but they're labelled in the description as being faux leather so not too hard to spot.

I bought a belt from this American vegan cork accessories company 2.5 years ago. I think the customs charge was £18. Very sturdy, it'll last me many more years. www.cliffbelts.com

Vegetarian shoes. Expensive but good quality :) and the name is a bit misleading. I guess they started with making shoes. Edit: https://www.vegetarian-shoes.co.uk/

I know you're looking for a company, but have you checked to see if anyone you know could sew you one?

Rickshaw bagworks messenger bags in sf are canvas if that’s the route you’re willing to go
SmellingSkunk replied:
A couple follow-up questions: what country are you in? Are you looking for specifically masculine-y looking messenger bags, or would any style work? And I assume if you're looking for leather subs, you want that look, but if canvas would work it looks like plenty of other people have suggested it.
EatWithConscience replied:
Will's Vegan Shoes! Slightly pricy, but high quality, excellent customer service, free returns, carbon neutral delivery and packaging, and good labor practices! I love WVS and I'm pretty sure they have messenger bags.
MrPeeps28 replied:
I'll also recommend Will's Vegan, I own several of their products and they are all great. I'd go so far as to say they are not that expensive. A quality messenger bag made with leather would also be $150+, and Will's Vegan is similar pricing but they are vegan (obviously), carbon neutral, and a really nice company. I once had a package lost in the mail and they immediately sent me a replacement and just said to return the original order if it ends up arriving. Anyways, my main point is you should check out all the recommended brands and pick something you like and that will last as long as a leather bag, because cheap fake leather products aren't doing the environment much good either.
Lovely night, but my friend lost his wallet - if anyone's seen a brown leather wallet with black highlights belonging to Tim Barker could you get in touch please?
