https://www.facebook.com/SoulIISole I go to Leonie Sheldon - link here - she works from Hengrove Leisure Centre and is the best massage therapist I've had (and I've had a few!). She's highly experienced and has given me invaluable advice about how to best manage my back condition. Good luck!

Go see Sophie Paine at The Centre For Whole Health just off British Rd. See is amazing:)
Heather W. replied:
I can recommend kate James based at workout on North St (and also Berkeley centre on Berkeley Square). She's really helped me with a bad back/sciatic pain as well as given me stretches and exercise advice. Very reasonably priced too
Marie C. replied:
Adam Carter at the Carter practice. Had put me right 3 times with different issues in one session. Not massage but a mixture.

I highly recommend Tim Hill (http://youtonic.com) based at the Berkeley Centre at the top of Park Street. A few years ago I had a bad back (sometimes I was in too much pain to stand) from a prolapsed disc. I was on course for spinal injections and possibly surgery, but with Tim's personal training and sports massage I got better through improving my core strength plus prodding when needed. He doesn't just treat the symptoms, but identifies the cause of problems and teaches you how to maintain a strong and flexible body. He has experience with post-pregnancy clients.

I can't recommend Vital Health on North View Westbury park enough! I have PGP (sacro-ilial) movement due to my pregnancy which on two occasions has left me unable to stand up straight. I have been to both Hannah and Claire and they have managed to get my pelvis into a neutral position and enabled me to almost skip out! I was sceptic all about chiropractic after many years of disc issues but I am a total convert.
Laura J. replied:
Have you tried a hydrotherm massage? I had one recently and they are amazing, really sorted out my back! You are lying on your back (therefore the back muscles are completely relaxed) on a warm water cushion with masseuse working on your back between the water and you. I didn't have mine locally but when I got back I had a look round for them and The Beauty Lounge next to lounge do them.

I recommend Jon Lee (http://everydayacupuncture.co.uk) based in Southville. He practices a form of chinese massage called Tuina. He has really helped my range of pregnancy and post natal niggles (but I am biased!)

Meg from the below company is great and she also has a room near the Chessels if you don't fancy going to Queen Square http://www.southbristolosteopaths.co.uk/queen-charlotte-street.html

I would highly recommend willow chiropractic. They work out of the Bedminster Family Practice by Asda. I have suffered with sciatica for years & I'm not in any pain now! I do have vouchers for a free consultation if you need one.
