Hello! This is a bit of thorny one here, are you interested in getting hypnotherapy for the first time or are you a user previously?
If you're a old time customer to it, and just looking for a new practitioner then I doubt there's anything that can be done to change your mind about it, and you know the ropes.
But if you're new to the game then there's a lot about hypnotherapy that you should realise.
First off, there is literally no good reason to think that things like this work *at all*. There are some studies that show a benefit to hypnotherapy but they're all pretty much useless; effects like [regression to the mean](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regression_fallacy), reporter bias, recollection bias and a host of other things are typically just ignored (with the intention of making something bogus look like it does anything). When you do the proper meta-analysis of the studies the only benefit to be found is in continuous subjective post hoc variables, not something to trust with your health.
Second of all, it is very easy to appear to be *far* more legitimate than you are. *FAR* too easy; any twat with no idea what they're doing can get accredited very easily to sell these things (slightly related example: I know for a fact you can sit down and be "accredited" -for some definition- to sell homoeopathy in less than 30 mins, the two scenes are very tightly linked). Things like reviews, websites and phone numbers are also very easy to set up to give the appearance of legitimacy. You can't tell if these people know anything about psychology, and I would wager most don't.
Again, if you're going for shits and giggles then that's fine but if you're going to seek help for a psychological issues you're trusting a LOT to some randomer who might not know anything about what they're doing. And paying a shitload for the privilege.
Please think very carefully before going along for any session, it's a risk. CBT can be free on the NHS and [works](http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3584580/).
What a debbie downer I am....
EDIT: A great bit of advice here: If someone claims they can cure IBS then the odds that they're talking shit rise massively; it was the jackpot of diseases when I was dealing with the industry.

Have you tried cognitive behavioral therapy at all? It worked wonders for my anxiety. You can go for free with Lift Psychology :-) not sure on the hypnotherapy, but I'm a skeptic x

Are you trying to make your mind up about whether it is stress or anxiety or both?
