Patriots Point is a good start. You can also catch the boat there to Fort Sumpter. I would also recommend the carriage tours, Rainbow Row, and the Market. Try Bubba Gumps at the Market if you liked Forrest Gump. Several ghost tours downtown also, including the jail that was on Ghost Adventures.

Halls Chophouse (downtown Chs) for dinner (reservations usually required). The Boathouse at Breach Inlet (IOP) for dinner - gorgeous marsh views, and Morgan Creek Grill - on the Intracoastal waterway in IOP (also for dinner). For breakfast/brunch on IOP, Sea Biscuit Cafe. Just to name a few of our favorites ... Have Fun !!!! We LOVE the area !!!!!!!!

Barbara T. replied:
Bob Hurt's wife was Lannie Hurt. She was my great-aunt. We would eat there on special occasions and she would treat me like a princess. Good memories!
There has been much discourse on the restaurants that used to be in Bristol, but I haven't seen anyone mention the old Elk's Lodge on Shelby St. where the post office is...

I loved McGillicuddy's, or however it was spelled. Why? Because they had HB Beverly often....as a roving troubadour....and the food was great, too. My ex and I celebrated our 1 st "anniversary" (dating) there when I was about 15. LOL I think it was The Shanty then.
