If you can gather up some friends, then Dockx ( www.dockx.com ) will rent you a decent moving van, based on the size you need.

All depends if your removal date is flexible or not. If you are not flexible then you'll pay the full price. There are so many removal companies in Belgium. One of the best reputations has Adrien & Fils, but look how many option come up while putting 2 basic key words into google: https://www.google.be/search... I would contact all these companies and get a quote. The professional company will come to your place and assess the situation before establishing a quote, and the quality of the personal contact will tell you if you want to trust. You should know, too, that you'll be asked to establish a precise inventory in case you would want to insure your belongings. As Australia is not next door, I would recommend to do so.
Could you please recommend a moving company not too expensive?Thx

Whatever you do, don't use Dockx movers. It was super expensive, they broke several of our things, they were even racist to our son.

I had good experience with Santa Fe to/from China, and every time I moved (which is a double digit number by now),I got 3 quotes and let every one of them know they were in competition. Only time this method let me down was with Jardine out of HK, they were clearly low-balling and the service on the arrival end in Europe was awful -- to the extent I got a huge refund. So all the others Adina's mentioned have come through well.

Hi, could you recommend me some serious moving company. Thanks
Anda G. replied:
Depends what you mean serious :-P With http://www.economic-lift.be/ I was super happy with their time-keeping, efficiency, smiley service and amazing prices (lowest in the market). But with them you have to arrange with the police for the closing of the street and you have to do the packing. If you are willing to spend more and work less, then maybe they are not for you. :-) I have tried others that were more expensive and promised more, but in the end I was not happy, so I cannot really recommend them. Good luck!

If you are moving to Ghent I would contact Luxtax (based in Ghent). We have used them twice and have been very happy. They can do as much or little as you want - they disassemble furniture and assemble it back, they can pack for you if you want. We packed our own boxes (they provided them at a decent price) but they did everything else. They also spoke English. http://www.verhuizingen-luxtax.be/
