I had a similar problem with unimog tyres (similar size) early last year. Couldn't find them in Argentina and got some 2 nd hand ones from Uniland in southern Chile, but they also expired before I got to Montevideo. The Michelin dealer in Montevideo found me a pair of very worn ex-earthmoving equipment tyres that got me onto the boat to the UK. I did not try for tyres in Brasil. These sizes are very hard to find in South America. If you go north to Peru, Cusco, the Overlanders garage (see ioverlander) had a tyre contact with some ex Dakar rally tyres (new) which I stupidly didn't buy when I was there.

Simone Monticelli....forget it to buy in Brazil...even if you found it, the price it will be stupid expensive. If you go on way to Bolivia, you can contact in advance Michelin official dealers there, have few, and by email you can deal and order it. When you arrive there the tire should be there waiting for you because I believe should be quite hard to found by lucky that size in stock. I will send you more details I'm private message. This is the Cooper distributor for Chile. The dealers cannot do anything for you but the distributor may be able to. They are out near the airport in Santiago. Very good people. Dont go storming in demanding things though. That doesnt work in Chile. Be nice and they will do whatever they can. http://www.offroad.cl/

Cooper AT3 s or Hankook ATMs (personally prefer the latter, but they're both good tires) for a more aggressive tread all season. Mickey Thompson has some great more off road centric tires, but they're somewhat annoying to find in the US so I can't imagine widespread availability.
