I need recommendations for a veterinarian that doesn't run a lot of extra tests and charge a huge unnecessary fee.

We go to Companion Animal Hospital, Dr. Mike Metz. Very happy with them in Wake Forest.

Dr. Norman Manning truly cares about what is best for your babies.
Amy K. replied:
WFAH may have wonderful docs but they are one of the most expensive in the area. Dr Darch moved his practice but he is also so old school in his approach. Bunn has good staff & the most reasonable prices I have found.

I second Dr Fisher on Gresham Lake Rd. He is very "old school". Takes time w the animals and is very reasonable w his pricing. You'll meet several people in the waiting room - most of whom have been going there for years and years.
Leslie D. replied:
Another vote for Dr Fisher. I agree with everything Kate has said above. His office is just outside WF, but he is a WF resident. Also, most of his office staff has been with him for years.
