Why not try /r/food? We don't have a monopoly on custard, you know, just because it was used that one time in that one episode.

The Doctor used store-bought, ready-made custard from Amy's fridge in The Eleventh Hour, so pick whichever appeals most to you! In Australia, I use Foster Clark's as it carries the flavour of the fish fingers well. Not sure if you can get this elsewhere.

Ah! Go to a world market and you will be able to get birds custard powder maybe about 6$ follow the instructions and remember to do the conversions from pints to cups or liters. EDIT: http://www.worldmarket.com/product/birds-custard-powder.do That's what to look for :-D And this is perfect custard not the highest quality but best for a decent price, miss this stuff. Mix some bananas and custard and it makes a yummy cheap desert.

LASIK...who's gotten it done? Was it successful? Any negatives?Who was your doctor? Interested in recommendations in LA area. Thanks!
Michelle C. replied:
I had LASIK almost 4 years ago and highly recommend it. I went to Dr. Maloney (maloneyvision.com) who is pretty pricey. It was magical -- I had the procedure first thing in the morning, went home and took a nap, and woke up with perfectly clear vision. My bad eye has gone about .5 nearsighted again, but I still don't need glasses. I didn't wear contacts before, so to not have to wear prescription sunglasses or scuba goggles anymore is really nice.
