Have you checked into pet insurance? Several companies out there. You can choose sick/emergency only or routine visits as well. You still pay up front, but get reimbursed fast. It will also help if she ever gets sick or has an emergency. That breed is known for GDV's (stomach flips). Surgery and hospitalization is about $3000. Also try Care Credit. It has a 6 month same as cash. That way you can take her somewhere a little safer.

U may have to try the vet in Alvarado, or Google vets within 20 miles of u and make a bunch of phone calls. That's crazy with just 3 # over, TCAP won't do it

Janie Ducey is a great groomer and wonderful lady. Also, Mickey Lynn RedShirt is a great groomer and she comes to you with a trailer and grooms your furbabies! Love both of these ladies - they are both wonderful with animals! Dr. Hoffman is fabulous and has extra hours and doesn't just send you to the ER because he doesn't have time to see you in his clinic - his whole staff are friendly and helpful! Mickey is on facebook, but I can't get it to tag her, but if you're interested, I'll be glad to message you her phone number - she does my furbaby because my baby has social issues from being abused, but Paris loves Mickey! We are using Dr. Shaffer in Crowley now. She was recommended by Mickey Redshirt, and we boarded our Paris there last week, and they are the sweetest, most friendly, wonderful, caring vet clinic! As for Dentists, I haven't found one I like in the area, although Deer Creek seemed very good, then my insurance changed, and they don't take my new insurance. Hope some of this helps.

I know everyone loves Alvarado vet but my experience is, if they don't know you well, you don't get the same treatment. ( just my personal experience) Butt they do have wonderful hours. We use Alsbury Animal hospital and have had a great experiences with them. Welcome to Burleson!!!:-)

Alsbury animal hospital is wonderful. I went to Alvarado when I first moved here and left. Dr. Burch at alsbury knows you and your dog. So much so when he walked in the room once he noticed the behavior change in my dog without me saying anything because he had seen my dog 5 times before and he knows his personality. So patient all my phone calls. Turns out I didn't get a healthy pound puppy. He had never met me when he had to tell me the love of my life my best friend of almost 15 years started seizing because he probably had a brain tumor. He did so with grace, compassion and was still professional. That's the day he became our vet. He is good. The first vet I saw there was AWFUL!!!

Similar thing happened to our Dachshund last year; came home from church and he couldn't walk. A trip to College Station Small Animal Hospital as recommended by Oso Animal Hospital and $1500 worth of surgery later and he's doing well. Best of luck to your little partner:)
I hope your puppy heals fully. Dr. Huges is our vet (we have five dogs) and I have been going to him since 1991. I know he'll do everything he can. I was in a similar situation as you (surgery in SA). It took two weeks but my dog recovered fully without surgery. Good luck and prayers for your little dog!

Alsbury animal hospital has been great with our dog. At one point they suspected she broke a bone in her foot and offered to X-ray but they were honest that the treatment wouldn't change based on the X-ray. Another time I brought her in with a couple of lumps on her rib cage. Once again they offered to biopsy but recommended we just watch them for now as they are textbook fatty tumors. Dr Burch is the best!
Please ASAP I need to find the vet on wheels. Have a dog acute distress.

When i worked at a vet Clinic we always had success with Care Credit. Helped a lot of families get their babies taken care of. It's typically fairly easy to qualify, most clinics accept it. Only kicker is it's interest free for a certain amount of time then it goes up pretty high so the idea is to pay it off on time.
