Thai Wan at The Alfred Arms in Borehamwood is the best Thai food I've had outside Thailand! If you can just get through the door of the Alfred Arms (It's a bit of a "boozer") I promise you'll be surprised at the amazing food served by Wan. It's authentic, truly delicious and stunningly presented. Have the mixed starter - I 100% guarantee you'll be impressed!
My parents will be staying in Calahonda for five weeks and looking for some restaurants around the area both nice and reasonably priced. Recommendations please. Thanks x

Da Bruno's http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g187439-d984800-Reviews-Restaurante_Da_Bruno_a_Cabopino-Marbella_Costa_del_Sol_Province_of_Malaga_Andaluci.html is a nice Italian restaurant by Los Monteros, which isn't far from Calahonda. Also near Calahonda is Ben Havis and in Ben Havis there is a restaurant called Los Abanicoshttp://www.benahavis.net/restaurante-abanicos, which is also nice.

Da Brunos we all love and will definitely be sending them there. What is the restaurant in Los Monteros called
Katie V. replied:
Los Abanicos. I've put the link in above. Although they're prob better off to get a cab there or your dad should drop your mum off at restaurant and then park cause it's a steep hill. You have to be lucky with parking but view is amazing.

I’m coeliac. Miller and Carter in Stanmore are good and have a gf menu, as does The White Brasserie (The Hare) on Common Road. Ed’s Diner in Intu Watford for burgers have a gf menu, as does Pizza Express outside. Fish and chips from Sea Pebbles in Bushey and Hatch End have gluten free Monday’s. And for special occasions it has to be The Glasshouse at The Grove. I’m following this link with interest for more ideas! And I’m up for a local coeliac meal out too!
