Felicia B. replied:
Ok I understand your point Nora but the lady who I left the letter in her mailbox contacted me this arvo. The ponies are not hers! So in saying this, if the owners have still not been contacted they may not know there pony has been destroyed! Please I would love to put this entire matter to rest. Anyone know any more info on the owner? They may be away and would be horrible to come home to a paddock that is missing a pony. Anyone regarding info please let me know...0498652162. Much appreciated
Hello. I am enquiring if anyone has recommendations for dog training classes.
A beautiful straight fur red cavoodle has joined us. She is 22 months old. Beautiful...
Tenille Evans is the best dog trainer, highly recommend.
Sasha J. replied:
Any of the dog clubs, Alyssa Rankin or Eleni from All Round Good Hounds. I particularly like Eleni. Bith Alyssa and Eleni do classes - these are the best. Damn Skippy there are some scammy people professing to be trainers. Stick to a business or a club. Saying that - do not use bark busters. Remember that Poodles are a working breed and if she really does have poodle mixed in there, she'll require lots of enrichment. Good luck!
Anna M. replied:
Heike Hahner. The reports are true- She is excellent.
Alison T. replied:
Companion Dog Club also do classes on Wednesday and Sunday mornings. Heike Hahner holds much smaller group classes from time to time and will also come to you for a one on one consultation.
Ellen W. replied:
Highly recommend Alyssa Rankin from Canine Compass - Dog Behaviour & Training. She is a behaviour based trainer which it sounds exactly like what you are needing

Seeking recommendations for a good vet who does after work appointments. Happy with North Canberra / Gungahlin or Bywong/Wamboin.

We drive in from town to go to Bungendore vet. We've found them all to be good.
Jan P. replied:
"Thumbs up" for Bungendore vets. We have had exceptionally good treatment from them for our dogs, including surgery.

Jack Laing in Bungendore. Sounds like a neurological problem. ...

Bungendore vets are fantastic. We see Stacey and she is just wonderful. we take our three little dogs there and could not fault her. One of my dogs was a rescue dog and suffers anxiety, even the smallest bang sound sets her off. Stacey has been fantastic with her care. Sonia are also good and are cheaper but we prefer bungendore
Lauren E. replied:
Just finished at Bungendore vet. She has some likely early arthritis and is otherwise in good health. The sleeping, accidents and stiffness are probably due to change of lifestyle. We lived on 500 m2 in Canberra and she's now on 70 acres. The vet staff were lovely. While we there a woman came in with a large chocolate dog that had been bitten by a snake. I hope he/she is ok. Really feeling for the dog and owner at the moment.
Susan L. replied:
Bungendore vets are great. Snakes unfortunately come with the teritory
Krystal G. replied:
10 years old is too young for a BC to be like that. Bungendore vets are absolutely fantastic looking after our old girl, she has bladder cancer and was expected to live maybe 3 months - 2 years on she's still here thanks to Bungendore Vet:) Goodluck!
Neil C. replied:
John Montgomery at Sonzas is good, not sure what time the last appointment is though.
Kiri C. replied:
Bungendore vet. They are fantastic.
Sasha J. replied:
Bungendore vet is the best. My border collie has had Michael as his gp for his whole life - 7 years. I would never take my boy anywhere else (other than the emergency in fyshwick). Michael is amazing. He has a very good human bedside manner and has been a brilliant vet for Mr Ivan.
New to the area and looking for an affordable vet (for a dog). Any recommendations.
Nora S. replied:
Queanbeyan Veterinary - excellent.
Beth S. replied:
We have been going to Josef at Gundaroo vet. He is no nonsense, and there are boarding kennels there if needed. The additional distance isn't an issue, and we've found the personal service worth the drive.
David J. replied:
We use the Gundaroo Vet - Joseph is great and is really caring.
Hi guys,
I am in Clare Lane Bywong. I have a dog at my place that just turned up this morning. Haven't had any luck trying to find its owner. Bungendore vet is closed...
Kim G. replied:
Just thought of you guys Simon Ross but breed is pretty certain with yours ;-)
Sue S. replied:
Wait for the vet on tuesday? Or try Sonza vet. is often available where others are closed.
Looking for a mobile country vet any recommendations please.
Jackie S. replied:
Brindabella are mobile, but I've never used them, so it's not a recommendation as such, just information. Bungendore vets travel to the Wamboin area on set days for free travel and other days for half price travel. Their web site lists the days/times.
Carey S. replied:
Second Steve Bobis, good to know he is still around
Can anyone recommend a local to come around today and bury our pet pig - the couple of places I've called called have quoted $400 - $ 500, same as burying a horse....
