Optician / Optometrist recommendation Last two eye exams at a popular mall eyewear clinic were disappointing - the first Dr seemed to be pushing vitamins for profit and...

I went to Eye Spy Optometry on 4th. It had a few good reviews so I went. The doctor (Mark Ross) was awesome. I have double vision and an under developed left eye, and unlike any other doctor I've seen before, he actually explained the condition and told me how I can go about improving it. He explained everything he was doing as he was doing so. Super helpful guy. Lara, the optician, was great for helping me get a pair of frames that looked and fit good. At no time, were either of them trying to push anything on me, or upsell me in any way. I'll definitely continue to go there. I also gave them a good review on google and they gave me a 25$ voucher. That was unexpected, and awesome. They also do direct billing which is great.

At our office our doctor and our optician absolutely understand that you might not be interested in a progressive. They don't work for everyone and they don't work in all situations. We would love to help you out if you wanted to give us a chance! We know that as an office reaching out to you this seems more like an ad and carries a bit less weight than if one of our patients was recommending us. Still, we would love to see you. Our office is Eye Spy Optometry. We're located at 1518 4 th street SW. If you wanted to call us you can reach us at (403) 474-6744 or you can find out more on our website www.eyespyoptometry.com We look forward to helping you and best of luck!

I went to Crescent Heights Optometrist a few weeks ago. They were thorough and helpful.

Dr. Dame - Downtown Vision Care in the Stock Exchange building. he is excellent. I have been seeing him for many years now. On my last exam he noted that I have increased pressure in my eyes. When I told him I would research it he emailed me information and the scan from his personal email account.

I just recently went to the Walmart vision center in deerfoot meadows (by IKEA) they are never busy and had great service! My glasses also came in within a week! Good place if you're not looking for any type of designer frames.

It's a smaller place, but she's got newer equipment to measure you and takes the time to help you pick a great set of frames. An ophthalmologist works there and she noticed that my eye performs vastly differently than it measures... along with automatically sending images of my retina to check for hereditary diseases. Highly recommend - I never regret going there.

Try the Optometry clinic next to the Lenacrafters at Chinook Centre. Theu have something like 5-6 optometrists working there and they have seriously great hours. Open for eye exams as long as all the stores are open. Great doctors, very convenient, and they don't seem to be affiliated with the Lenscrafters.

Try ratemds.com. I have an optometrist that I like, but I only just got my first glasses, so I'm not sure if it would be helpful to you. If you are in the deep south, try Bridlewood Eye Clinic.

Years ago, I worked for Dr. Eisner and Dr. Mallory Eisner in the BMO tower, Plus15 level. They were really great to work for and great optometrists. They totally get not wanting progressives. Just ignore them if they push buying frames from them.
