We have skunks AGAIN. I am sick and tired of our house stinking of skunk. We have asked contractors, landscapers, exterminators, carpenters and more for help. We have...

Thanks Roger Buzbee . For future prevention I have used Moth Balls and they just dig past them and ignore them. I have used Fox Urine (a natural predator) and it did not act as a deterrent. And I have tried a few other remedies, but none have been long term deterrents. I appreciate the advice.

Alexandra Deoni, we have relocated them many times! I think living so close to a natural environment!

Pepe Lepeux?? from Warner Brothers?

Robert Barsky, I love Pepe Lepioux. One of my all time favourite looney tune characters!

Alexandra Deoni, we have captured the skunks, in a humane way, and relocated them 50Km or more away from here. We have done this over 40 times. Because we live close to the Tsuu Tina nation reserve, more skunks find their way to our house. we are told that the 'scent' they leave behind attracts other skunks for up to 5 years. So the solution is not to just relocate them, but to eliminate the possibility they can get back under our sunroom again. That is where the contractor, etc. comes in, but they have promised to act and never done it...8 years of asking for help has resulted in no action. Another option for relocation is to relocate ourselves and move to a different house...but that will cost us more than $5G.

Can't you do a bucket trap and drop the mice off at an undisclosed location? [https://www.instructables.com/id/Bucket-Mouse-Trap-kill-or-no-kill/](https://www.instructables.com/id/Bucket-Mouse-Trap-kill-or-no-kill/)

Mice that live indoors don't do well outdoors especially at this time of year and they will find their way back to the house unless you relocate them far away. Then they become someone else's problem. There are ultrasonic devices that are costly and you plug them into outlets around the house. It's debatable as to whether or not they work. You can get live traps but need to check them daily.

I'm a pest control technician.
My company is very high end. 165-225 per hour.
I don't recommend getting a pest control guy unless you really need it.
Use snap traps. Victors with flat triggers are best. Peanut butter works. always leave the trigger against a wall when you set them. Always set 2 or 3 together. Figure out where they are getting in and seal it with steel wool.
As far as humanely doing it, here is food for thought:
Mice are non native and out competing locally endemic rodents.
They are, by nature of what they are, inhumane to animals that are threatened by their presence.
I won't say they "deserve" to die, but I will say that allowing them to live is irresponsible and insensitive to local wildlife.
That's to say, the world is inhumane, and the choice to deal with mice is inherently inhumane. If not to the mice themselves through death, than to other animals through their survival.

I see you feel guilty killing a mouse. They are blind, pis and shit wherever they want, and they don't pay rent. [A humane way to catch mice.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxxFNkNf6 q8) But then again, it's winter. So put them outside?

Also recommend Abell, we had a real problem with a wasp nest in the wood between our garage and they came and sprayed some white powder and within 1/2 an hour there was not one wasp left.
