We just so happen to think that we're a pretty awesome cleaning service :) Flat-rate pricing based on number of bedrooms & 100% natural cleaning. You can also book hourly service at just $35/hr. Of course we're licenced & insured and our employees are background checked. www.zenmaids.ca / 403-650-6500

My wife and I had the same problem. We ended up posting a job to varsityhire.com which gave us a few different students to pick from. Not a 'professional' cleaning company but the student we picked was fabulous and it was only $14 an hour. Worth considering as they include students past reviews for you to base your pick on. Good luck :)

Thanks everyone. I booked with madmaids. I will report back. In a side note. I would have probably booked with the suggestions here, but I am really busy at work and the frictionless transaction with their site was what sold me. So yah. We shall see how that works out. But the incredibly easy to navigate site, flat rate pricing and no hassle online booking swayed me. I qm sounding like an advert but I assure you I am not. I do process engineering for a living and their process impressed me. Maybe a takeaway for other cleaning companies? Just my $0.02

Fallout...
Our experience was pretty good.
The house was cleaned very well. I may be a bit picky but they did not clean out our coffee carafe (supposed to clean counters in the kitchen and do a load of dishes) and they left the living room blinds totally askew. To the point where when walking up to the house we thought we had been broken in and ransacked.
Also, none of the floor mats (bathroom, foyer) were put back nor were towels. But who knows.....
In any event, I was happy, but I think I would try another company for the next go around. The bathroom was impeccably clean and my wife was impressed with the cleanliness of the blinds ($30 extra). I still like their booking system best though.....
Looking for a good, reliable house cleaner/company. Any recommendations? I've had a few misses the last few months, not showing up, rushing the job, missing obvious...

Had the same problem. Started with Scrubbi 4 months ago and have never had a problem. They won't take your key (don't want to be responsible for it), so I installed a key lock. I actually appreciated this after trying to get back my key from the last company I let go. If you are interested in details you can pm me. http://www.scrubbi.com/

I have received a few quotes for our 1200 sq foot town home from cleaners in the area and the pricing is quite high I find, usually around $120 to 150 a visit. That isn't worth it to me. Is this pricing pretty typical or should I keep looking?

[Oxy-genie carpet cleaning services]( http://www.oxygenie.ca) offers solid help to this matter. They are reliable, safe and thorough! I personally used this company for several years now and have always been very pleased with their hot extraction also known as steam cleaning process.

We got sick of dealing with agencies and found a single individual that we could hire directly off http://housekeeper.com/. You have to interview a few before you'll find one that'll work with your schedule though. Our current housekeeper does cleaning and laundry once a week for a reasonable price.

www.zenmaids.ca or 403-650-6500 We offer flat-rate pricing and online booking with discounts for monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly service. And if you're unhappy with any part of our service we'll return to re-clean for free (but you wont be :) )

I just moved out of a place and was too lazy to clean it. I found somebody off of Kijiji: Amina c: 587 892 5803 e: amanda_buddy@hotmail.com They weren't the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive. They did a thorough job and were quick to respond. A lot of the cleaners off of Kijiji sounded stoned when I called. Not inspiring.

I also have a friend who owns her own cleaning business (not sure if it's the same person as Caribosa) - she just cleaned my house yesterday and I was blown away at how much better it looks now hehe. Check out https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sunflower-Natural-Cleaning/242138149187264?fref=ts
