Questions for my knowledgable pianist & piano playing friends: Do you need, or do you use castor cups for an upright piano on hardwood floors? What about a carpet or an...
Julie W. replied:
My Mom has an upright piano on hardwood with castor cups under the 2 front wheels cause they will deny the floor. I have an upright piano in tiles, but I'm looking for an area rug for the room it's in cause it echoes in the room. The carpet probably looks nicer than castor cups but to be honest I don't really notice them anymore. I also found Calgary Piano Tuners at the Home Show in the weekend. They're just on Macleod trail and they charge $160 to tune a piano. I'll probably use them.
