does any one know the place that was giving away furniture due to storage space? I'm looking for a friend

It was NW Furniture Outlet at 99W and Sequoia Parkway, but the furniture went FAST. My daughter tried to go on the day they were doing it and everything was gone. Not sure if they'll do it again, but if so, big thanks to them!

Ashley, I own https://www.facebook.com/868083539977106 Judson Roy Home Furnishings, the new furniture store here in Canby. While I don't have free furniture, I'm happy to help you maximize a budget as best as possible. I have a lot of items available through catalogs that do not cost much money at all!
Recommendations: Local shopping for new home I have been living out the country for a while and am now coming back to set up a new home. I need lots of things....

Cotton Cloud Futons is a nice local business for furniture. Lounge Lizard on Hawthorne has some really nice mid century modern used furniture. And next to them is Really Good Stuff, which is a great junk shop where you can find some real treasures if you hunt for them. The guy there is also open to haggling a bit.

There is an area from Division and Cesar Chavez to Morrison and the river that probably has the highest density of used goods. Everything from a Goodwill and City Liquidators for basic and cheap to higher end boutiques and nice vintage. My main shout outs are; Lounge Lizard, Vintage Pink, Village Merchants, Artifact and NW Office Liquidations.

Have you tried the [Community Warehouse](https://www.communitywarehouse.org/) in NE? I was just there recently and had a decent selection of stuff.

I like to go to Goodwill and get a bunch of crappy stuff that meets my immediate needs, that why I can replace everything with something better at my leisure. Then all the junk goes back to Goodwill for somebody else to use.
