Don't overlook Engelbergs Antiks downtown. It will all be used, but you can find some awesome furniture in the basement. Just bare in mind the inventory rotates frequently so you never know what you will find.

Surprised no one has mentioned Woodseller's Parkway Furniture. They carry a wide selection and generally have a good mix.

Check out Sid's Furniture downtown. The store is very crowded, but they carry nice quality furniture. Much better quality than most of the local stores.

We have been happy with Sids on Court. They also have really nice couches when you decide to get some.

Parkway Furniture, lots of quality wood furniture there.

I really like Woodry's on Commercial. Bought a fantastic custom sofa from them, and did see dining room sets that seemed to be right up your alley. Give them a look.

My parents bought two couches from Sids and they held up really well against the thrashing from three kids. I purchased a set of chairs from [Natural Furniture](https://www.naturalunfinishedfurniture.com/) in Portland a couple years ago and they've been super solid.

I would recommend looking at stores in Portland, if you want more variety. However, I did get a great futon-esque bed/couch from Mor furniture off Lancaster, and they had a pretty good sized inventory of dining room furniture. I know there are some furniture resellers around (theres one all the way out in stayton, as well, but they don't have the biggest selection) you could look at those, too. *Edit: forgot a word

We buy most of our furniture at IKEA, but for a couch we went to Dania. There is the DANIA and then a Dania Home(i think that's what it's called) right by it that has a little more comfy stuff. It is in beaverton, so it is a short drive from Portland. http://www.daniafurniture.com/
