[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/asheville/search?q=dentist&restrict_sr=on&sort=relevance&t=all) are some dentist recommendations, several of which are no insurance/low cost options.

Reach out to 'The Free Clinics' and ask about their Dental options. They're a network for low-income or uninsured individuals. They can help. Their website is [here](http://www.thefreeclinics.org/).

I don't know about how they'd help with no dental insurance, but my hubby and I see Gillespie (off Merrimon on Orange I think) and we love them. Friendly, no up-sell, competent, seen promptly, always see same hygienist. We went there on the recommendation from several people. We were at Fox, but not happy because we felt like cattle, always different hygienists, not personal at all, very big practice.

I was in a similar situation about a month ago - getting someone on short notice is damn hard. All I can tell you is to avoid Deborah Anders - they'll rope you in with what seem to be low rates and then bill you like a hospital. You might try Complete Dental Care over on Leicester and Patton - haven't been in years, but they were once affordable.

Check out West Asheville Dentistry, I love Dr. Mann! They can arrange payment plans for you. http://www.westashevilledentist.com/ Also, if you don't have insurance look into Care Credit, carecredit.com. 12 months no interest.

I see Dr. Harris off Hendersonville rd, I've been going to him for several years now and have had a good experience. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Not sure about insurance but you can always call and check!

My dentist, Kani Louise Nichols, said she was on call this weekend. I can recommend her; she is excellent, but NOT cheap.
