I know I asked this before...I think...but I really need a good dog chiropractor near the Indianapolis area....I am about 20 minutes south west of the airport but...
Willy D. replied:
I don't think this will help you, but you can add it to your places to research. IVEC (Indy Vet Emergency and Specialty Hospital) is on the South East side (Boone Groove) and has a pretty nice rehab center with tons of FitPaws equipment and the whole deal. They probably have a pretty good person for chiropractic work. That said, they are a specialty center and therefore require a referral. I'd still call and ask since it's reasonably close to you. I don't know of anything at all on the southwest side of Indy. http://www.indyvet.com/canine-rehab.php
Susan F. replied:
I am there every other weekend otherwise Dr Bonnie Pilbeam has done a lot of extra courses too or Dr Tim Fleck has been around a long time (Amanda uses him for her horses)
Teresa C. replied:
I really like Dr. Tim Fleck in Noblesville.
Willy D. replied:
I would highly recommend Dr. Teresa Calvert. However, she's all the way up in Muncie (a long drive for me, a SUPER long drive for you). She does agility and is very in-tune with performance dogs. I believe she does do adjustments at agility trials here and there (on the South East side at Pawsitive Partners) so you might catch up with her there. Location-wise, not the best suggestion for you. But she has done good things with Pimg. http://www.westviewanimalclinic.com/ The super big time guy that most people recommend is Dr. Mark Haverkos in Oldenburg, IN. He comes up to Greenwood, IN regularly (maybe twice a month, or something like that). As far as I've been told, he's far and away the highest recommended chiropractic (and holistic) vet around. I have personally not been to him. http://www.vhcdoc.com/about/specialist.html
Willy D. replied:
My agility instructor uses Dr. Bonnie Pilbeam with good results as well. Bonnie has seen and worked on Meredith's GSDs also with good results. She's on the east side in Pendelton. I have personally not been to her. http://www.petsandvets-at-fallspark.com/

Susan F. replied:
Teresa Calvert has also done all the extra courses
Sandy H. replied:
Susan Fife is amazing with my dogs, drive 1 hour 15 minutes to Cincinnati to see her! Awesome person, too! Don't know how far Cinci is for you Christina?
Annette Z. replied:
Susan has a nice way with dogs, but not sure she is a Chiro. Dr Julie Towle of Pet Pals Veterinary at 86 th St. And Westfield Blvd does Chiro and acupuncture I believe, and has a nice way with dogs. Sherry Farber has done very good work on two of my dogs and works out of her home on 79 th St. on the northeast side of Indy. John Sluss has seen her since I have and might be able to tell you if she is still taking animals and people in. She is a retired musculoskeletal expert. Last but not least, you can go to www.avcadoctors.com for a list of AVCA certified doctors in your area. Tony Z
Annette Z. replied:
Good to know, I knew you were good. I just had no idea of your official certifications. Hope all is well with you. Tony Z
Quick question for my Facebook friends...looking for recommendations for a good, quality chiropractor. I have never been to one--and the idea of just picking and...
Miriam G. replied:
I totally agree with Lorie, Kim Koran. I go to Dr. Richard H. Armond III, and he is FABULOUS. My shoulder that I use to serve in tennis was killing me as well as my lower back and he fixed me in one session plus I did his recommended exercises at home. here is his contact info: 530 Highland Station Dr, Suwanee, GA 30024 (770) 614-4455
Martha S. replied:
Kim, I highly recommend Perimeter Spine and Rehabilitation Center. It is in Dunwoody area near the MARTA North Springs. Ask for Amy and let her know I passed her info to you. They are awesome! They truly take care of you. It is more than just visiting a Chiropractor. Everyone there is so nice! They have a rehab/floor where you can do exercises and more! Here is the number: 404.396.2224
Susan G. replied:
Kim -- I was totally freaked out by chiropractors from a young age -- I took the chance after being in soooo much pain after many 12 hour days at work, hunched over grading papers and working at my computer. I have two herniated discs in my lower back from an incident in 1993, and along with that, I developed constant neck and shoulder pain -- I was at my wit's end -- and I have a scary tolerance for pain. After one treatment, I have not experienced the same pain since! Miraculous! I did TONS of research before going for my first visit. It is a process, though, that takes time to get the axis aligned. Dr. Lukas is now also treating my BFF whose leg was traumatically amputated in an accident last year -- with some very good results!

Check out Lukas Chiropractic in Acworth -- I went there for the first time in September at age 54 -- changed my life and pain I had been dealing with for a longgggggggg time!http://www.acworthspecificchiropractic.com/
Krista L. replied:
Try a T.E.N.S. machine. I go to a chirpractor because the doctor only gives me pain meds. The T.E.N.S. machine is a gift from Heaven. Makes the pain stop. I have sciatic issues so if that is your issue. That is my advice.
Does anyone in the Canton area have a chiropractor that you really like? I pulled something in my back/shoulder and I'm in major pain.

Hey canton friends! I need a good chiropractor here locally that will take my insurance. My back is revolting and I don't have time for this!!! Any suggestions?
Melinda M. replied:
There is one in Marietta that my sister worked for before she moved. My whole family goes there and a bunch of family friends. They are called Health Solutions. Dr. Kevin and Dr. Trish are both some of the greatest people I have met. It's only $30 with our insurance. My husband and I just hit adjusted today and it was great! (770) 565-5510

Can anybody give me a recommendation for a Chiropractor in the Midtown area? Need a back adjustment to relieve a little pressure. Yoga isn't doing the trick anymore.
Patrick S. replied:
well he has...kissed a man... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqhLmMSt3HI
Casey W. replied:
Jody Nichols- see Bob does yoga!
Bob G. replied:
Casey and Jody, yoga is a must for flexibility, core and leg strength, and energy. Murph, I have a doctor appointment for vaccinations on Wednesday so I'm ping to get a referral to a good orthopedic and get this shit figured out. 13 years is long enough. I can barely sit still in the airplane these days.
Sarah S. replied:
I would try physical therapy first. Atlanta Back Clinic is the best in the city. Go to them before an ortho doc, they will just want to cut on you. Just ask Patrick... He has some saying "don't be surprised when the pizza guy delivers pizza. In fact, I have had amazing success with physical therapy. They will actually fix you, chiropractic will just help pain.
