I may need a vet in Canton. One of my pups has a swollen lower eye lid so we may need to go and see the doctor. Any suggestions? Thank you

WE use Abundant Life allways nice and good..
Bobbie D. replied:
I called Cherokee Animal hospital. Their office visits are $50. I was paying $35 in Calif. you would think that Ga would be less.
Bobbie D. replied:
Carol Farriba, the other one is Acres Mill. My sister used them but they seem to be very expensive...
Willene D. replied:
I use Banfield in Woodstock at Pet Center
Debbie K. replied:
I use Crossroads in Woodstock for routine stuff. Anything serious I would recommend Etowah Vet, Dr Chang. If you should need an eye specialist Dr King-Hill in Marietta can't be beat. Take a lunch with you--wait will be long--but she is excellent!
Myra A. replied:
Dr Orr, Guyline!! We used him too!! Great bunch over there!! Now I use Crossroads in Wdsk
Carol F. replied:
I use Abundant Life on Hwy 5 in Keithsburg just a bit North of Chalcedonia Church. Some folks don't like them, but I have never had anything but fantastic care from them and they are the most reasonable I have found. I have a friend who drives from Marietta to bring her pups there and she is like me, they are her four legged babies, not animals.
Carol F. replied:
Bobbie, there are two vets north of WalMart. The first one on the left is Green Acres or something like that, I used them, but they were extremely expensive. The second one is Abundant Life and that is who I use with my fur babies.
Do you guys recommend a vet in the area who has Great Dane experience? We have a good vet near our house but I was wondering if we should change to a Dane savvy vet....
Justine A. replied:
Dr Bishop at North Main Animal Hospital in Alpharetta. THE BEST!
Erik S. replied:
Dr Lisa Hillier South Forsyth Animal Hospital McFarland / McGiness Ferry / Old Alpharetta area She has taken the best care of both of mine (over 12 years) and she is a lifelong Dane owner herself. She has a new 9 month old female as a pet now!
Julianne S. replied:
If you're closer to Woodstock, we have always seen Dr. Weaver at Towne Lake Animal Hospital. We've been there for over 16 years with 2 Danes and love her!
Dia S. replied:
This woman diagnosed the wobblers syndrome in my Merle. She used to treat the dogs from one of the rescues. http://allatoonavets.com/team/allison-wansky-dvm/

Dr Johnson handles a similar problem with mine if it helps. One of mine has allergies, asthma, allergic to fleas and mosquitos, and has mini seizures.
FYI- Crabapple Knoll regular hours are Monday-Friday 6:30AM to 9PM and Saturday and Sunday from 8AM to 6PM. They are wonderful there with both of my dogs special needs

Cat Clinic of Cobb is on Sandy Plains Road 30066, 6 miles northeast of the square. You might also look into Clinics that have split entrances/lobbies, one for cats and one for dogs. Tritt Animal Hospital has a dog lobby and a cat lobby and is on Shallowford Road 30062, 11 miles northeast of the square. Cat only or not, finding a veterinarian that shares your philosophies and that you feel you can trust is invaluable!!
