The doc by the B&A Trail, just up from the Jeno's strip mall has been a volunteer vet for the Ididarod several times. I know because he was a source for a feature I wrote on dog sledding in Maryland (no snow required!). I personally can attest to Banfield in Annapolis and Dr. Camielliere, who served as a source for several other features I wrote and was the doc my ex and I liked best for our Buster (beagle/laso apso mix). I found the assistant staff to be very caring and friendly, and most are working to be come vets or pet careers. The Banfield Plan is something you may wish to look into in general if you're shopping for vets. It takes out the "should I spend the money to have a vet look at this" scenario. You can take your pet in as often as you wish for checks per year--covered with the basic "subscription" yearly fee, which has tiers, depending on whether you want dental cleaning, etc. and gives you all shots, and discounts on services.

I second Dr. Oliver at Bayside. They are located close to the Bowling Alley. She will even do phone consults:)

We also love Dr. Camilliere at Banfield in Annapolis! He takes care of both our cat and our dog. He is the best! We have the Wellness Plans for both our babies!
