Can anyone recommend a vet. dermatologist who can treat dog dermatitis.
Victoria R. replied:
I use Dr. Hoell@Middlebranch in Carmel (845) 278-8000 as my regular vet. I also use Dr. Scheck Hopewell Animal Hospital(845) 221-7387, he does a lot with Chinese Herbs and acupuncture. If you already have a vet call Dr. Scheck.
Jackie A. replied:
Linda, try calling the Smith Ridge Vet Ctr. My friend recommended them very Highly. They use the holistic approach 533-6066. They are in South Salem.
Victoria S. replied:
Smith ridge is good (took my allergy ridden Lab there many years ago), and I now use Andrew frishman in lincolndale (248-6220) - holistic vet and they're all so nice and caring there.
Victoria R. replied:
FYI: Dr. Hoell is the one who sent me to Dr. Scheck, he did wonders with one of my pups and heart issues among other ailments.
Marnie P. replied:
Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center in Bedford Hills has all the specialists, though I've only used the general care vets.

Linda, we also use Middlebranch. Tyler has been suffering with horrible dermatitis. So far he is doing much better after tearing his rear leg apart. He was a bloody mess. We have changed his diet to Health Extensions Lamb and Rice which doesn't have fillers. Currently he is on steroids and antibiotics, a topical spray, and wearing two "cones of shame" because he is able to bite through one. He is a big boy and looks really weird with his entire rear leg shaved and the rest of him fluffy. The treatment is helping him and he is healing well. Within a week, we should be able to take off the cones. They were very good when he was a pup and had ear infections that no other vet could cure. I would recommend them
Can anyone recommend a vet. Our rescued kitty is coming this week and I would like to bring her for a check up. Thank you

I have been with South Putnam Animal Hospital for 15 years they are beyond wonderful. They saved my Cat's leg when everyone else said that they would amputate. They also performed an operation on one of my dog's eye when he got hurt in a fight with another dog.
