Christmas lights? I want to take my girlfriend to see some Christmas lights but we are new to the area and literally haven't been anywhere other than work, gas stations,...

I was looking for the same thing to take my girlfriend next week and found [this. ](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wral.com/christmas-light-displays-to-open-for-season/14147547/%3Fversion%3Damp)
There's a neighborhood somewhere off Creedmoor Road between Glenwood and 540 where two houses go all out with Christmas lights (if anyone knows, feel free to remind me of the address.......)

It’s a bit of a drive but I think piper lights is worth it. It’s a local family that puts up a giant light show. They even have a shop they sell can, crafts and hot chocolate. I think all they ask is for donations of what ever you can afford. 5725 Fixit Shop Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587 We’ve had a couple of houses in the area on a tv show called light fight (Christmas light show) I know piper lights was on it and won.

I know you are specifically asking about free ones but i wanted to make sure you are aware of the Chinese Lantern Festival in Cary this time of year. It is fantastic! http://boothamphitheatre.com/nc-chinese-lantern-festival-cary/

Last year we went looking at one up in north Raleigh off of Canoe Brook Parkway I believe. It had the music synchronized with lights. One of the better displays I've seen around. I like the neighborhood overall.

I highly recommend the Chinese Lantern Festival in Cary. We went to [Meadow Lights](http://www.meadowlights.com/) in Benson a couple years ago when we visited before our move down here. You ride through a light display on a small train. Tickets are $2 per person. I think we might check out [Lights on the Neuse](https://lightsontheneuse.com/) since we are close by. We only knew about that one since it's the same location as the Clayton Fear Farm and they had signs up when we went to that.
Does anyone have a connection to a restaurant, catering or a food supplier who would discount some main dish trays or platters for our Saturday reunion? Or grocery gift...
