Dr. Barrett.... he is fantastic.. and loving with the animals... and takes time to explain to you what is happening...

We had a bad experience with Dr. Barrett. I found him condescending and his knowledge frankly seemed dated. I also went to Boulevard, and while Dr. Schuchman was great, we rarely saw him. Most of the other doctors were bad. One of them actually gave my dog shots without asking me first. It was an optional treatment that was non-emergent (cost money) and there were alternatives available. Dr. Schuchman apologized and said he would make sure he would be the only one to see my dog in the future, but his hours were too limited. We've been going to Hill's for more than a year now and they've been great. A little more expensive, but worth it (they have evening appointments on some weeknights too).

We go to Dr. Barrett at Canyon Hospital for shots & simple things, but anything further than that, we go to Sage in Dublin. We had a bad experience when it came to a serious issue with Dr. Barrett. The people at Sage are incredible & genuinely care about your pet & you.

Chabot Vet the best

Donna McAdam Dernier, I am neither friend NOR family of Dr. Barrett, but that's who I recommend. We take our Boxer to him and my mother-in-law has used him for decades. By the way, he's had the same staff for years. That's a statement in itself.

Oh come on. There are lots of vets in Castro Valley! This looks like a coordinated blast by Dr Barrett's friends and family. We have used Grove Way Vet for years. Over the years, they have taken great care of two dogs and three cats. Also, they are reasonably priced compared to several other vets in town.

I worked for Dr. Barrett about 25 years ago. His love of animals is true and strong! I still take my menagerie there. Plus he's got a great sense of humor!

Yes there is a in house Dr. Thats been treating her while she is there butt when she gets out she is NOT goin back to Dr. Robertson! So we r in surch of a great Dr. Whom is good with the elderly.

Dr. Aptos he's in Castro Valley. I'm not sure where now after the new hospital went up..

Dr. Una would have done the paper work for in home care for Jon's parents, but they decided to go to a retirement center. Not sure what the circumstances were for Laurie's friend, but it is heart breaking watching family members age.

Dr. Una refused to fill out paperwork for a lady whose mother needed in home care. It was really sad to witness the conversation. Just a fyi if home care is a thought.

I would call Dr. Aptos's office and see what Dr. He shares shifts with or use him if you can. He was wonderful with my grandparents years ago..
