Rob R. replied:
It doesnt matter which number you call first. Dr. Robinsons cell, home, and office phone are all tied together. If one doesnt answer it goes to the next and so on. Sarah will answer if Zachary Robinson is busy. They have always answered for me. They are amazing with making thierselves available and are Dr. Is so kind and just exceptionally brilliant!
Teri D. replied:

Medford has a great vet clinic! They saved my dogs life a couple of years ago when a rattlesnake bit him in the nose... They are called Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center on 4901 Biddle Road in Medford near the Airport, phone number 541-282-7711. The currently open, they do 24-hour emergency services and the people are super kind and professional. Good luck!
Ok I could use some advice. We are new here and I just discovered three ticks completely embedded in my dog. I know it's ticks one was not all the way in but burrowed...
Arianna L. replied:
Advantix is better then frontline. We get ours at uspets.com. Dr. Robinson is our vet and he saved my dogs life! Call him he will help you and he is very reasonable.
Toni M. replied:
Melissa Goff knows Dr Joe.
Jeremy N. replied:
I got to second dr Zachary W Robinson he is a nice guy I use him
Melissa G. replied:
you can always talk to a vet tech on a 24 hour service of your concerns like a doctors office. Dr. Joe saved our little Chihuahua in March/April and he was seriously near death, swallowed a Mc.D's toy and was stuck in the tummy but that one wasn't going to kill him when we got him in, it was the shoe string he swallowed before that toy and his intestines were swallowing in on each other. And he's helped up out with our newest pups too. So far, he hasn't done us wrong. But if I was back home in Texas, I'd be taking our pups to my daughter's cousin.

Melissa G. replied:
you can put Vaseline over the tick and smother it completely, safely to suffocate it without having to do anything drastic. But sleeping with y'all...I would totally try to avoid that as much as possible. My husband suffers from the residuals of Stage 4 Lyme disease he acquired by being bitten by a tick and infected while he was on a field assignment in the Army in 2006 and there was sort of no way to avoid it. But no one tested for it until he was having loads of weird medical problems in 2011 and by that time, the disease had done the damage. He was treated but still has the after affects and flair ups. But I bet, if you called Dr. Joe's office here in town, they'll have that number to the Emergency Vet number in Medford, and you might be able to talk to one of the techs on duty.
Mary G. replied:
Dr. Robinson is great. 592-2338 He answers 24 hrs a day or will call you right back! He's very compassionate & reasonable.
Looking for a local vet for dogs and rabbbits...anybody have an opinion?
Wendy W. replied:
I like Dr. Fisk if you need to stay in CJ but if you are willing to go to Eagle Point All Creatures Great and Small is a wonderful Vets office and very reasonable in their prices.
Wendy W. replied:
Hmm Maybe I am confusing him with another mobile vet in this area. All Creatures Great and Small is the most reasonable that I know of he is just too far away in Eagle Point.
Karen C. replied:
I love Dr. Joe's, he is very resonable and has really treated my dogs with the greatest of care. I think he is an excellent Vet. We have been taking our animals to him for the last 18 years.
Gloria S. replied:
Dr Joe is the best
Carol C. replied:
I use different vet's for different animals, and different conditions. Dr. Joe is the best for dog and cat stuff, and very reasonable prices. Dr. Robinson for general purpose large animal issues, and Rogue Equine for specific/ difficult equine issues.
Sydney M. replied:
My family and I have always gone to Dr. Joe's, always for dogs. Over 15+ years we continue to go back time and again and he always does his job well. Much cheaper than GP vets, not sure about others in CJ. Have also heard great things about Robinson.
Angela L. replied:
If Dr Mucha still practices in Selma he is awesome and very cheap!
Wendy W. replied:
421 Caves High Way 592-3222
Charlene H. replied:
Sorry, Angela Lopez...Dr. Mucha past away.
Wendy W. replied:
Yep that was very sad. I really liked Dr. Mucha.
John W. replied:
Mobil Vet, Dr Zach Robinson, 592-2338..he comes to you..!
John W. replied:
Obviously Wendy has never used Dr Zach..VERY reasonable...and a hellof alot cheaper than Dan Fiske, who we have also used. He does small and large animals, my dogs and cats, plus my horses...with less trauma to the animal by coming to you..
Where is the nearest open veterinarian?? Think my dog may have been bitten by a black widow
JoAnna G. replied:
I'd look in the phone book and call Zachary W Robinson.... Sarah Robinson
Crystal S. replied:
I just recently thought my dog got bit by a spider or snake his side of his face swelled and there was a hole and the skin was nasty. I rinsed best I could because he was hurting so bad with peroxide and have him baby aspirin. All other vitals seemed to be normal took him to a vet next day and he had a hot spot from probably a tick bite where his rubbed and scratched so much it had turned into that. That could be it if the doggy is feeling ok but I did read that it can take acouple hours to notice venom bite symptoms so just keep and eye on the doggy but baby Tylenol Benedryl or baby aspirin will help with the discomfort
Crystal S. replied:
Baby Tylenol is ok to give never give a dog full strength unless it is prescribed it can be poisonous if not given in the right doses
I think I saw a post awhile back about a farm vet that can come to you?
Anyone know anything about it? In need of someone to check out my pig. Thanks!

Dr. Zachary Robinson - (541) 592-2338
Jen B. replied:
Dr Robinson is my vet and I love him. But unfortunately he doesn't see pigs. He raises pigs himself and doesn't want to risk transfer of diseases to his pigs. But thanks!
Crystal H. replied:
https://www.facebook.com/314608502018354Richardson Veterinary Service does pigs -- but she is in the eagle pint area. Depending on how bad you want her seen, you could trailer her down? Just throwing it out there. Not sure how many vets do pigs.
