I took my shitzu to Robinsvile--Northstar for cancer treatments. They're open 24/7. It took me about 40-45 min. to get there---up 206, get on T'pike, off at 7A, etc. But, Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital IS closer and they're 24/7, too. They're the ones who referred me to Northstar after they could no longer treat my fur baby.

Julie I see Dr. Rebecca Merrifield at Mt. laurel animal hospital and have for 15 years. I've taken three dogs and one cat to her. She's awesome
Jen L. replied:
Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is fabulous. I went in on a Sunday with a dying kitten. Although they were busy and there was only one vet in (Dr. Mankowski), I was treated like I had the only patient in the building. I never felt rushed and the doc and tech were so incredibly caring and understanding. The kitten lived. I've never had a bad experience with them. http://mlahvet.com/
Jen L. replied:
The other vet I use, also in Mt. Laurel, is House Paws. They are also amazing and they are mobile so they come to you if you chose. It's so nice to have my pets seen in my house because they just aren't fans of going to to the vet. We have dealt with 3-4 different vets there for different issues and every one has been awesome. http://housepawsmobilevet.com/

Jenn L. replied:
I work for HousePaws and think we have great vets (and I am not just saying that because I work there!). We have 2-3 vets on the road Monday through Saturday and the travel fee is only $20 per visit not per pet. We have 2 convenient hospital locations, one in Mt Laurel and one in Atco, if you prefer to go to a location instead of an in home appointment. Our comprehensive exams tend to be more in-depth as we like to get to know you and your pet to determine what kind of lifestyle you lead and treat your pet accordingly. A complimentary nail trim is included in the exam price. We practice with a more holistic approach, believing that less is more, and that we don't need to force unnecessary vaccines on a pet who is not at risk. We often implement the use of supplements and herbs along with traditional medicines. HousePaws also offers a 30 month free trial of Trupanion pet insurance. https://trupanion.com Let me know if you have any questions and congrats on your new fur baby!

Dr Russell-Smith on Greentree wonderful person
Jen L. replied:
We've never had pet insurance. I have also had relatively healthy pets so the cost of the insurance over the life of the pet would have been way way more than the vet visits. That said, our vet now is HowsePaws and we have been pleased with them. As a foster I have had to use the ER at Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital and I absolutely love the doctors that I dealt with. Price comparison, I don't know. Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital seemed more expensive than HousePaws, but probably because it was ER visit. I do love that HousePaws comes to me ($20 extra) and they give a military discount. http://housepawsmobilevet.com/
