Can anyone recommend a dermatologist in Charleston? I've tried going through MUSC but apparently they (much like sports medicine) are very busy.
April B. replied:
Dr Anne Leclercq. She is at MUSC speciality care north. There is sometimes a long wait for new patients, but she is super nice. If the wait is too long for an appointment, leave a msg with the nurse to get in sooner. Worked for me. 792-3021. Good luck, and hope all goes well!
Anne B. replied:
Dr Sandra Hannigan556-7251. It may take you a while to get in, but she's great.
Looking for a good Dermatologist in the area, any suggestions?! Thanks in advance!
Beatriss C. replied:
I tried Dermatology and Laser Center for dark spots on my face from an allergic reaction to meds. Located 2180 Henry Tecklenburg Dr. and they have a website. But it depends on what you need. I do suggest not to buy the creams and thing right on site if you need any. You can find some of them cheaper online.
Hi Neighbors,
Any chance there might be a dermatologist in our lovely hood? Or perhaps and oncologists that has experience with identifying melanoma / skin cancer /...
Toni P. replied:
Not in the hood, but I know that is what this practice specializes in- http://www.skinsurgerycenter.net/locations/charleston-south-carolina
Nancy W. replied:
Physician Partners Surgical Oncology (Drs Hawk, Wilson, Kirchoff, and Franssen) are at 125 Doughty St in the Roper medical office building. They all do melanoma and other skin cancers. They could get you in this week. 843-577-7550.
Katie M. replied:
For surgery, Dr Cook at MUSC is outstanding. His office is out in mount pleasant but it’s worth the drive to go to the best surgeon for this. Also I use Dr Marta Hampton just over the bridge in W ashley for skin checks.
Does anyone know of a good Dermatologist in the Charleston area? Went to Trident Dermatology today and that was a joke.
Kamilah G. replied:
I just saw Dr. Todd Schlesinger at Dermatology and Laser Center of Charleston today and he was great. A lot of people at my job see him.

I like Dr Hull. He is just a hard person to get to know
Helana F. replied:
Dr. Hannegan in West Ashley, or any one in Rosen's group, Dr. Kotz with Carolina Dermatology. I saw Hannegan for shingles and she's great.
Gail J. replied:
Next time request one of the other doctors there. The others are nice and have good patient interaction. I too, saw Dr Hull once years ago and made sure to get different doc ever since.
Gail J. replied:
I have seen Mike Overcash(PA), he is real good!
Lisa G. replied:
Dr. Hull is awful. Didn't help me at all. I saw a different Dr last time and that was better.
Jay N. replied:
I see Dr Jacobs. He's across from CSU. Really nice guy.

Michael B. replied:
Marta Hampton. Good luck getting an appointment. Most good dermatologist either aren't taking new patients or don't have appointments for 6 months. you can make an appointment with Hampton and call at 9:00 am each monday morning to check for cancellations. That how I get it with her.
