Aw! We were referred over to Veterinary Specialty Care in Mount Pleasant after our doxie developed a limp- she was in so much pain, she could barely walk. Painkillers would make the pain go away for a small time but it would come back. Xrays couldn't detect anything. When we transferred care there, they did have to do an MRI to determine the cause, which was a herniated disc, and we got surgery. The MRI was EXPENSIVE but literally it was the best thing we could have ever done for our pup. She's back to normal (it's been 1.5 years) and living a pain free life. We saw Dr. Freeman, the veterinary neurologist (yup, they exist) there. She was SO excellent I can't even tell you. She literally saved our dog. Anywho, I don't know if you need a referral to them or if you can go directly, but here is their website. http://veterinaryspecialtycare.com/

I would say this is probably beyond a supplement if you've done this much searching to find a problem. I have a bulldog with two torn ACLs......go to Dr. Patrick and see if your dog is a good candidate for laser treatment. Non invasive.

Sun Dog Cat Moon is an integrative practice that specializes in pain management and utilizes acupuncture, laser light therapy, nutrional supplments, Chinese herbs and diet to treat and manage conditions and diseases along with traditional medicine. They have a canine massage therapist on staff and work with a chiropractor as well.

You could look into getting him adjusted from a chiropractor! We get our boy adjusted. We use Matt Michaud at James Island Family Chiro.
