Please recommend a good neurologist in the Charleston area! Also, tell me why you like that particular dr if you don't mind. Thanks friends!

Dr. Taravath moved his practice to North Carolina and I do not recommend dr. Gupta we are looking for a new dr for Gabe.
Gary M. replied:
Dr Ferguson at MU is excellent
Jessica K. replied:
If you need a stroke specialty neurologist I couldn't recommend Dr Nolte at Cabell HH any higher. I saw a neurologist in charleston and I couldn't stand him.
Cheryl L. replied:
Dr Dave. He is very good. We also send most of our patients to him from the office.
Tara V. replied:
Cheryl, I've had an awful experience with Dr. Dave. I'm looking for someone else. I don't want to "bash" anyone on the internet but to say the least, I'll never go back to him.
Susan G. replied:
Tara, don't know of any good ones, but would not recommend Dr. Dave. Gary saw him after his mini strokes and said nothing was wrong.
Daisy S. replied:
The greatest in the valley Dr Goldfarb-they don't get any better..Has been my neurologist for many years...
Shainna P. replied:
Schmidt is actually a neurosurgeon (I used to work in that office when we first moved back), so unless you need a cutter, I think you need someone else.:) I don't know who you have now, but Dr. John was a popular referral for people who didn't need cut, but I have no experience with him personally.
Debbie G. replied:
Rita Ghandi in South Charleston. She's technically a movement disorder specialist, and I heard her speak. She is very knowledgeable and approachable.
Katie S. replied:
Actually I saw Dr. Shuff at brain and spine specialists, he was awesome. He is a spine surgeon, but it's also a neurologic practice. He was very down to earth. http://wvneuro.com/
Bethany F. replied:
Dr Goldfarb is probably the best in our area...but even he had trouble diagnosing my husband. We went to everyone in town and even CHH and WVU. Never got answers until we went to John Hopkins. But if it's a relatively 'normal' diagnosis than Goldfarb is who I would choose.:))
Sarah B. replied:
It's been a decade, but I used to go to Dr. Taravath and really liked him. He was always willing to spend time talking to me and explaining things or listening to me to try to figure out what was going on. I liked not feeling like he was in a rush to get to the next person.
All right friends and family.. I need help. I'm not convinced about kaylee's diagnosis. I want another opinion. I want her to see a neurologist. Who do you recommend?
Alissa M. replied:
Dr Cromrin* at Pittsburgh children's. She is amazing, took her 6 months to get me straightened out. If there is something up with her, she will know
Cathy C. replied:
Margret Jaynes at Ruby in Morgantown
Merllene Y. replied:
My neurologist in Morgantown is Dr. David Watson & he is fantastic. Dr. Gutierrez in Morgantown is also good.
