Home inspector recommendations Anyone have any advice on home inspectors that were great or ones to avoid in Chattanooga?

I just had Roger Williamson of HomePro do a pre purchase inspection. He was very thorough and didn't mind me being there for the whole thing. Answered all my questions. Great guy, highly recommend.

I used Doug Gray of WIN Home Inspection about 2 yrs ago at the recommendation of my realtor and I would not recommend him to others. He missed a handful of items...the most significant being the back deck and front porch were not structurally sound, AC unit was too small for the square footage it served, and he completely skipped the gas fireplace which turned out to need repair. The porches and fireplace were safety issues, and the HVAC was just plain expensive. Would have been nice to know this on the front end.

We just used Mark Witt not long ago. He was really thorough and was clear with us about his recommendations (and patient with me as I needed him to explain a lot of things). He's also been working in the city for a while, which can be a huge plus. He'd actually inspected our house previously, so he knew exactly what had been fixed and gave us the rundown on those things, as well.

I came here to reddit looking for similar advice. u/aeps002, who did you end up going with? how did it work out? Thanks!
I use Ed Guertin - River City Inspections -423-313-0838. He does a great job! My buyer's always love his home inspections. I've never had anyone complain. He's on vacation this week though. Good Luck!
