Looking for recommendations for occupational therapy (with a focus on sensory issues) and speech therapy.
Lisa M. replied:
Mary Mullins for OT with sensory/reflex knowledge and Speech & Hearing Center/Carla Wicksell or Pam Hosterman:)

We have loved both Margaret Margaret Durrett Hopping (now independent, but used to be with Erlanger Children's Therapy Services) and Courtney Worthington Pittman with Siskin..
Where can we go to get our sons evaluated for sensory processing disorder? Our son's occupational therapist isn't certified in it.
Meg W. replied:
Pediatrics Plus, Henegar Counseling Center, Agape Counseling,

One thing to keep in mind is SPD is now a classification under Autism Spectrum Disorder and is no longer a separate diagnosis. The best doc that explained that to us was the Psych at Chatt Autism Center. Also we had a sensory eval done by an OT (Kelley, who is currently on maternity leave, but they staff quite a number of OT's) at Stellar Therapy. The OT evaluated him as well as had us complete a Parental Intake Eval we did as parents that confirmed our sensory concerns were a contributing factor to our sons developmental concerns.
Lisa M. replied:
Mary Mullins works out of Chattanooga Autism Center offices and she has extensive history working with sensory processing issues.
Susan J. replied:
Id definitly have to go with Mary Mullins at the CAC, given a choice.
