I have a very old Christening gown in need of some cleaning. It is over 60 years old. There are some stains on it. We have a christening coming up in my family in a few...

This link can help. She doesn't mention, but I have often used the technique of getting the item wet, then putting it in strong sunshine on a clean cloth. This can "bleach" out some stains without using actual bleach. http://www.alleyroselinens.com/pages/CareofLinens.htm
What's the best dry cleaner in town for suits and dress clothes?
Donna R. replied:
hhhmmm...tough one....I don't think we have a great dry cleaner in town, but I use the Chinese Laundry on Summer Street. I think it's still called Care Cleaners. They aren't bad...once or twice, I"ve had to bring something back...but if you point out any stains to them when you bring your clothes in, they will "mark" them and be certain to get rid of them. I don't care for Anton's.....I've had a few too many items come back not clean, and I know a friend who had a few VERY expensive women's suits go "missing" there...

Hello, I just moved to this area & I don't have a washer/dryer yet. Would anyone know of a laundry service in the Chelmsford/Lowell area?
Thank you all

Try Eastern Appliance to buy your washer and dryer.

I recommend Fluff & Fold at Drum Hill Laundromat 1264 Westford Street Lowell MA

I've never been to the one at Drum Hill, but I have found the one on Chelmsford St. to be excellent whenever I've need to use it. On the occasions I had to go there, there was never more than one machine Out Of Order at any given time.....lots of washers of all sizes, and lots of dryers...plenty of tables to fold clothes on, and reasonably clean.
Any recommendations for a reliable and reasonable ( if there is such a thing ) dry cleaner for wedding gown cleaning and preserving ? Please and thank you
I miss E&M Dry Cleaners since they sold their business this year. We've been going to them since they fist came into town 20 years ago. They mended our clothes when...
