I've lived in Southie all of my life and I've had many pairs of pants ruined by having them altered at various places in the area. Before I got married in May and I did a LOT of research and I found "All Fit" on Newbury. They are the BEST!! I had half of my wedding party get their alterations done there and they did a fantastic job! (I only needed one fitting for my wedding dress and it was perfect!) Since May I've gone back several times for normal clothes and I've been happy every time. I can't say enough good things about them. http://m.yelp.com/biz/all-fit-tailoring-and-alterations-boston

Fatima at Charlies Cleaners is an incredible dress maker, she learned everything from Josephine. I don't know what she charges but do know that it would be altered correctly
