They evaluated him quickly then told me it would be $500-plus dollars UP FRONT to support him until we could take him back to our local vet the next morning. Thank the Lord he made it, but I will never go there again,. Neal Vet in OKC is a REAL 24 hr vet hospital, not a place that is just open nights and holidays. If I had not had the money up front, my cat would have died.

Anadarko Vet will usually go in for emergencies an does not charge an arm and a leg if you can't make it to OKC

We use Anadarko vet. Love them. They were the only one that would see our dog on emergency several years ago and been going ever since.

Neels Veterinary Hospital owns us and it's their policy to require Canine influenza to protect everyone pets. There have been confirmed cases in oklahoma. In order to give the vaccine we must have a vet examine your pet to verify they are healthy enough to have the vaccine and board in our facility, again for the safty of our patients, after that you can board with us as long as you keep your influenza up to date. We have to have a VCPR legally to vaccinate and board an animal. It's not to just get more money out of anyone. It's because we want to ensure only healthy pets are boarded and don't get other patients sick. Every facility is different in what vaccines they require. We are just taking precautions since there has been a recent outbreak.
