You could always try a B&B too. There is a beautiful B&B in the country in Agassiz with an outdoor hot tub. They bring your breakfast (which you can choose from a menu) right to your room too so you can have privacy if you want or you can eat in the common area. Check out https://www.facebook.com/117089458304565 Blackberry Lane B&B and Farm . Nice and close to Harrison too.

We stayed in a hacienda at Sandos Playacar and it would fit all of you nicely. The haciendas also have a semi-private pool and hot tub (you share it with 3 other rooms). Great beach. Lots of food. We rented thru a person on flipkey and got VIP black bracelets from them. These bracelets allowed us to go to the sister hotel Sandos Caracol (maybe 10 minute cab ride) and have full privileges at that hotel as well (and Caracol has a water slide park and monkeys that wander freely)
