Has anyone used a midwife locally? I was curious about costs involved. Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)

No cost at all. It is covered under MSP. I have Cheryl Mount at Chilliwack midwifery and love her!!!

Just in case you can't get in or they can't take on your case (they couldn't take me in due to high bp) Dr Kroeze in Chilliwack is part of the GPs specializing in pregnancy. I had gim throughout my pregnancy and loved him! I wish I could've had a midwife but he was definitely a second best:)

I had a Dr with my first pregnancy a midwife with my second and I am using a midwife again with my third! Hands down I enjoyed my experience with a midwife more than with the Dr.! Midwives are amazing! They are covered under bc medical so they are no cost to you! I used West Coast Health Collective in Abbotsford, because the midwifery clinics here in chilliwack were full when I applied. I loved them so much I am using them again! Any of the local Chilliwack or Abbotsford midwifery clinics are great, I have only heard good things about all of them, so you can't go wrong! My only advice is fill out their intake forms as soon as you know your pregnant at a few of the clinics so you make sure you get in, as they fill up very quickly!!
